You want to do your master rip to WAV as it keeps all the sound quality
there, and then convert to whatever quality MP3 you want for your playback
device, or FLA if your device supports it and you want compression but to
keep the quality.

I Use lamexp for bulk conversion of audio files to a prefered output.
