You'll need to know your Volume license credentials, but go to

https://www.microsoft.com/Licensing/servicecenter/default.aspx

and login. Then download the ISO. According to the description of 2012 R2
Datacenter, the release date is December 2014. So it should be newer than
what you have.

Still seems like quite a bit of patching to do though.
