Hello! We run a Win 2008 R2/SQL 2008 R2 cluster; it has 3 named SQL
instances. 2 of these have their own separate, dedicated DTC resources
(I inherited this cluster, I didn't set it up).

Now, I hear that the 3rd instance will also require it's own DTC
resource (something about the IBM CDC application it also runs as a
cluster resource really works better with it's own DTC).

I googled and found this:

How to configure individual MSDTC resource with SQL cluster
application in SQL Server 2008 Failover Cluster

https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/asiatech/2009/10/28/how-to-configure-individual-msdtc-resource-with-sql-cluster-application-in-sql-server-2008-failover-cluster/

Which you'd think would be exactly what I want to do. Except that all
the illustrations and screenshots are broken links ... LOL

Anyone know of a HOWTO that does have working screenshots, so I know I
am doing it right? I'm still searching, but not found this
specifically yet.

(I know I need to present a new small (5G?) drive to the cluster,
specifically for this DTC. Then I need to assign it it's own DNS name
and IP address ... based on looking at the other private DTCs in the
cluster)

Thanks
