This is odd. On my workstation (a Win 7 Pro box), I applied the latest updates today (2017-05-15), without looking to see what it wanted to install (silly, I know). That's when I noticed that I had just applied KB2987107 .. Uhmmm ... what? MS14-056: Cumulative security update for Internet Explorer: October 14, 2014 This should have been installed long ago. Why was it re-installed. 2.5 years after the fact? It wasn't re-released, and somebody forgot to update a description, was it? I applied the May patches (the Security Monthly Quality Rollup, and KB3003057 for IE last week, on 2017-05-10, so I should have been pretty well up to date ...
