Happy Holidays all!

We have a 2016 DHCP server in Domain A, providing all IP information for
machines in Domain B.

All machines get their IP information properly, but the DHCP fails to
dynamically update the machine's DNS records on Domain B's DNS server. The
entry in the DHCP log is just ' DNS update failed'.

I have the DHCP server in the DNSUpdateProxy group in Domain B.
I have the scope set to 'Always dynamically update DNS A and PTR records'
I tried adding the DHCP Dynamic Update user account from Domain A to the
security tab for the DNS zone in domain B

There is a 2 way trust betewen Domain A and Domain B if that's helpful.

What other configuration is needed to allow DHCP to update DNS records in
another domain?

Thanks all! Stay warm out there.

JCK
