I am having some strange login problems with our Windows 2000 desktops, we are still running a true nt4.0 domain, and are using login scripts to map out the network drives. Two problems I am having; 1) If the user has a home drive setup in his profile the login script does not run. I have patched this by using a %username% in the login script for those users. I am wondering if there is a better fix for this problem? 2) Some users are having very slow mappings, by slow I am saying anywhere from 3-5 min to map 4 drives. Other users in the same switch will map normally. I am running the scripts in the background so the users don't see the delay, however if they try to get a mapped drive right away, well then they see this problem. I have checked on Tech-Net and have not been able to find anything about this. I was just wondering if anyone else had seen this type of problem as well.
