Name resolution is through WINS. However, there are entries on the local
LMHOSTS file that references an AS400 system as well as one of our NT
Servers.

What are you using for name resolution? WINS ? LMHOSTS ? ...sounds like
your PC cant find its domain controller because of a name resolution issue.
Is this PC on a different network subnet than where the DC's are ?

DC's are all up as no one is having problems logging in. I have also
unjoined and rejoined the domain several times and the issue persists.

One more thing, I am unable to connect to the workstation using USRMGR or
SRVMGR from an NT Server box. -----Original Message-----

check to see if you domain controllers are up.
(see if you can logon from another box)
then remove your workstation from domain and readd

Subject: Domain Issue

Goodmorning All,

I was wondering if someone can give me an idea why I'm getting this message
when attempting to log on to my domain.

"The computer log you on now because the domain DomainName is not
available."

This is from an NTWS4/SP6a.

I can connect to any and all network resources, but I'm unable to log onto
the domain from the workstation. The only way I can log on is on the local
box.

Any suggestions?

TIA

Ron
