If you have tried all of what the gentlemen here have suggested and still not
working, then I'd give it to charity!!!

Hve you tried removing it from the domain and uninstalling TCP/IP and then
reinstall TCP/IP, re-service pack it, and re-add it back to the domain.

If everything else has already checked out, my next step would be the
suggestion above.

was the computer account removed from the domain by mistake, or is there two
workstations with the same IP or WS name?

That is correct. I am able to ping devices on the entire network from the
NTWS. Just unable to log onto the domain.

What do you mean, "they check out"? From the affected PC, are you able to
perform simple name resolution tasks, such as pinging by name, etc.

DC's are all up as no one is having problems logging in. I have also
unjoined and rejoined the domain several times and the issue persists.

One more thing, I am unable to connect to the workstation using USRMGR or
SRVMGR from an NT Server box. -----Original Message-----

check to see if you domain controllers are up.
(see if you can logon from another box)
then remove your workstation from domain and readd

Goodmorning All,

I was wondering if someone can give me an idea why I'm getting this message
when attempting to log on to my domain.

"The computer log you on now because the domain DomainName is not
available."

This is from an NTWS4/SP6a.

I can connect to any and all network resources, but I'm unable to log onto
the domain from the workstation. The only way I can log on is on the local
box.

Any suggestions?

TIA

Ron
