HP4100 printers have a known problem working with win2000 machines. Is this an HP4100? If so contact HP for their latest firmware upgrade. ralph ____________________Reply Separator____________________ Subject: Can't access printer on network, problem with AD Author: NT System Admin Issues <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: 20/08/2001 11:49 AM Hi: I have a win2000 network with a small group of computers in one section that use a laser printer that is attached to one of the win2000 machines. Last week all of a sudden nobody could print. I found out that the local security, local policies, users rights, access this computer from the network had effective settings of only admin and domain admin having access. The local policies have everyone. I took all restrictions off the domain. First I don't know what changed, and second I don't know how to get the local policy to propagate to the effective setting. Everything I have read says that it should do this automatically. Anyone have any ideas? I don't want to do anything radical until I have tried everything else.
