I think Maurice is trying to say:

"I need a disaster recovery plan in the case where I have *no* servers -
they've all been wiped out"

which I gathered/interpreted this line to mean:

<quote>
I have to draw up a plan for Disaster recovery for every server in my domain
i.e from scratch
</quote>

Cheers
Ken

: So include that the disaster recovery plan for your PDC is to promote a
BDC
: to PDC, then rebuild your PDC. I can understand your situation, but you
: should try to make them understand that this is all you need to do. If
they
: won't, ask them who knows more about computers and networking - them or
you.
: If they say you, then ask them why they don't trust your decision. Show
: them how it works if they want. It doesn't hurt anything to promote a BDC
: to PDC, then promote the old PDC back to it's oroginal PDC role - we have
: done it before. Granted, it was for a different reason, but it definitely
: won't hurt.
