I had a problem similar to that, when I upgraded my IDE device drivers (VIA
in my case), the blue screens went away...

I've seen this problem before but haven't learned how to fix it without
formatting yet.  When replacing a motherboard in a Win2k (pro or server)
machine, Windows will not boot for the IDE controller is different from
the old motherboard, thus you get a blue screen that that error on it.
Does anyone know how to fix this w/o formatting?
