Considering the behavior you just mentioned, regardless of what specifics
may exist, I'd break that bad boy down into multiple directories.

I did that earlier, but I had to go.  It takes 15 minutes just to do a dir
on it, and doing a properties of it crashes explorer. :)  I just wanted a
quick answer.  Guess I'll find out Tuesday...
