Title: RE: OUTLOOK RULE - One (of many) Solutions

I resolved the inbox overload by using a "rule" in Outlook to redirect all incoming mail to the Public Folder instead of my inbox, it works great, it's all I need at this point.

I'm still open to other suggestions though.......

thx,

I also do this, but it is a pain haiving to subscribe to the list twice.

The other problem I have is, to subscribe to most lists you have to send
a conformation mail, so you have to assign the SMTP address to your
account, get yourself subscribed and then move the SMTP address to the
public folder.

What I am looking for is a way to send as using the public folders SMTP
address under Ex2000.  Is this possible?

Thanks

Stephen.

You are MUCH better off subscribing a Public Folder to this discussion
list.
Here is what I do.  Subscribe a Public Folder to this list.  Name it
whatever you want, just subscribe the smtp address to this list.  Set
the
options on that to receive the mail.  Change the settings on your
account to
nomail option so that you can still send to the list, but you don't
receive
any mail in your Inbox.  Add the Public Folder to your Favorites under
the
Public Folders list.  You can then even synchronize it if you wish.
This
way, you also have a wonderful link to archives.  I have it up to a year
and
a half ago.
