webDAV is the underlying authentication and file management technology used
when you create web folders in IIS or use them on your PC. It is a
multiplatform service that has a variety of standards backing it.

What is WebDAV? For a user to be authenticated they must have the
ability to "logon locally"

Subject: webdav and AD authentication

I am trying to use a webDAV client with a win2k server running IIS. I
set
up a virtual folder DAV and gave rights to everyone, domain users,
administrators, users.

I set security on the virtual directory to basic authentication and gave
it
a default domain of the NT-style domain name.

The problem I have is that only members of group "administrators" can
authenticate no matter what I change AND I was unable to use new
AD-style
domain names in the basic authentication field.

Anybody have WebDAV folders set up to work who can give me some
pointers?
