The people on the 4 planes, in the Pentagon, in the towers and immediate
area, would surely approach that number. And few could have survived.
The attrocity simply cannot be described by human language.
This nation is in a state of war as much as it is in a state of emergency
and sorrow.

Woah there.
No one has said there are 20,000 people dead.
There were 20,000 poeple in the towers when the first plane hit.
I beleive Tower 1 was being evacuated when it was hit.
