This seems like a good time to relay the words of our IT Director:
" This date will mark the beginning of a change in the way Americans
view the world. As targets of an incomprehensible hatred, that goes beyond
what most Americans are capable of, we can not help but be changed by it.
Much as our parents remember Pearl Harbor, for us and our kids it will be
this day, which will surely receive a simliar place in history. We must do
what we can to minimize the victory for our enemies, by picking up for those
who have fallen an moving forward in our lives. Be vigilant for your
neighbor, for the grief will be widespread. Pay attention to your friends
and family, by making sure that your children and spouse are comforted.
Don't underestimate your own feelings or be ashamed of them, share them with
those closest to you. Touch base with family members! Pray!
Soon, we must settle this event in our minds and see how our
thinking will be changed by it. Be determined to show the world that we can
not be beaten down, that we will grow and be stronger and better from this
trial. Everything that is done by every American in the coming weeks will
make a difference. Look for an opportunity and don't assume that someone
else will do it. Do your best work, it matters to America, and will be
visible to the world, encourage others to do the same. But for now, take
care of yourself and your family. Pray! "
Well said, John!
