so, point the profile to save all files to local temp areas or the user's
server folder.

will this replicate to each workstation the user logs into?  do you have to
delete the local cached profile to clear it out, or does the smaller profile
overwright...?

if you move the (temp) file location, you'd probably have to clear the old
area manually.

something like 
del "c:\%systemroot%\profiles\%username%\temporary internet files\*.*" /s /y

Doesn't it seem strange there's an admin manual for the ZERO administration
workstation...

just use policies with the roaming profiles and dont write those directories
to your roaming profile and nyuser.dat will stay small and logon times will
be nice.
