article without a reply. All of you please accept my apology. Just hit
delete if you are not interested.
I can't comment on the accuracy of this article, I have to see to believe.
Links to relevant information on the web would help. Without these link
this article loses its basis.
I would like only to comment on the facts.
1. The fact is that this happened. On the first day, Palestinians were
celebrating this horrible terrorist act at the WTC. This was the real
reaction of the people on the street to these sad events but the reports
were minimal for the reasons below. On the second day, the whole world was
shown how Chairman Arafat is donating blood. This was the fake reaction of
the Palestinian Administration.
Everything on the first day was documented by all major News Networks but
you didn't see any of these reports. The reason -- most of the journalist
working for CNN and other Networks in the West Bank are usually Palestinian
too, because other Journalist entering the Palestinian territory are simply
endangering their life. And when the news started to reveal, these
journalist where arrested by the Palestinian police and given two options:
either you call your Network and instruct them not to broadcast your
report, or, if these reports will be broadcast, your life is in danger. The
same intimidations were directed toward the local management of these
Networks and it helped. Nobody except the Israeli Journalist organization
protested. The intimidation, which is also kind of terrorism, was effective.
On local TV we have seen reports showing the celebrations and how candies
were given on streets.
2. Even if the CNN report was misleading, the facts didn't change.
Palestinians were celebrating Iraqi invasion to Kuwait, they were
celebrating when Iraqi Scud missiles hit Tel Aviv, they were celebrating
when about 30 teenagers were killed in Disco at Tel Aviv few months ago and
they are celebrating this horrible action at the WTC. They are just hiding
their latest celebrations.
Only yesterday there was a funeral here at Alfei Menashe of 47 years old
women, mother to two boys, which was killed by Palestinian forces by
shooting her car on the road. Is this a "legal resistance" (not my opinion)
to occupying military force or just another terrorist action.
3. I can't belive CNN chooses to show us old pictures but for the reasons
I mentioned above you can understand them. They reported about what is
going on, and since fresh pictures were not available, they decided to show
us old reports on similar subject. This is reasonable but they should tell
us in advance they are doing this. But I still can't believe it's true.
4. I tried to check what organization stands behind this article.
On http://www.indymedia.org/about.php3 and
http://www.indymedia.org/alliases.php3 there is too much (for my taste) of
"progressive" and "social". It reminds me the propaganda of those ex
communist countries that I was born at.
5. To remind you, the PLO (the organization Arafat is its chairman) was
the first one who started with the civil planes hijacking "fashion",
hijacking El-Al plane to Algeria about 25 years ago. Since then they did it
too much more times.
