Dan -----Original Message----- From: Gary Cyr [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, September 21, 2001 2:29 PM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: taskmgr.exe - Invalid Current Directory I have an NT 4.0 sp6a server running only Microsoft RAS . Up until a few days ago it was running flawlessly. Recently, we updated the antivirus software. We are running Netshield engine 4.1.40 and have the latest .dat file (4.0.4162). This was done because of NIMDA. Not everytime, but usually 1 out of 5 times, when we attempt to bring up the task manager (either by clicking the task bar or CTL-ALT-DEL and selecting it), we get the following message: The title bar of the popup contains "taskmgr.exe Invalid current directory" The message is: "The process cannot switch to the startup directory z:\. Select OK to set current directory to c:\winnt." We also get this message twice, when we first log on to the server but the title bar of the popup changes... the first time it references userinit.exe and the second time it references nddeagnt.exe I have checked technet without any luck. The event logs are clean. The c: drive is FAT on this server. Thanks.
