Question for the masses...

Long time listerner, first time caller...

This is in a test lab... getting ready to do a nt 4.0 to 2000 upgrade with
BIND servers as primary and 2000 DNS supporting the MS specfic records.

I've got a BIND 8.2.3 server setup to be the primary DNS server with the
four 2000 required zones delegated to a 2000 DNS server and have the forest
domain "A" record on the BIND server... exactly as instructed by MS...

So.. whats the problem?

When I look in the 2000 DNS server under the _tcp and _udp zones it reads
_tcp.xxxx.org(BAD DOMAIN) on each record.

Also, when I run netdiag, it fails the kerberos and SPN parts of the tests.

Dynamic update is working correctly (I think) as I can delete records off
the 2000 server and then by doing a net stop netlogon and net start netlogon
have them recreated...

Has anyone seen this problem? Any ideas on what might be causing it?

Thanks!

Steve
