Speaking of new, symantec just updated there site with a new
W32.Whiter.Trojan alert. Suppose to give a key for Windows XP. If ran, it
inserts itself in the %system% folder as Whismng.exe,changes the registry so
that on the next reboot, the HD starts to eraseand it prints a lil note"You
did piracy, you deserve it". Full write up Symantec site.

I hear that Symantec has released a scanner for the newest virus. AVERT of
McAfee is still listing this as a LOW risk and McAfee has released nothing.
The AVERT site states that dat files 4163 will be released 9/26. Anyone have
any more info on this? We use McAfee exclusively.
