One place I'd check, if you were looking for a small environment, and
didn't want to spend much is http://www.tucows.com

They have mailservers ranging from shareware to thousands of $$, and some
of it even works pretty well.

If all you're looking for is SMTP/POP mail, I'd actually recommend Internet
Anywhere Mail server.  Heck, unlimited mailbox version is only $399 or so.
