Consider upgrading to Service Pack 6, Clean up the hard disk C
partition, check eventvwr for anomalies.

Subject: File services hangs
Esteemed Colleagues,
I have a Compaq Proliant 3000 server with a Pentium II 333 Mhz CPU and
128 Mb Ram running NT4.0 SP5. Access to file and print services has
recently started hanging...on a daily basis. When the services hang I can't
even log into the server or connect in any way using naming services. It
has to be manually powered off to reboot. There are no traces of any
problems in the logs. No evidence of Dr. Watson.
I'm Stumped and at a loss of what to even look for in Technet or the
archives. Very baffling.
