I'm having the following problem with a DLink wireless NIC in an IBM
ThinkPad running W2K Professional. The NIC is not "usable" unless the User
is promoted to the Admin group (obviously not a good thing).
The NIC does appear in Device Manager (which claims the NIC is installed
and working properly). However, the DLink config util, which loads with
W2K, claims that the NIC cannot be found.
Anyone have any thoughts on what might be causing this problem. Btw, the
vendor (DLink) has not been very helpful.
