Are there know issues with the DNS server in IIS 4.o not performing reverse DNS correctly?
I have added a zone 3.2.1.in-addr.arpa for the domain 1.2.3.x and added PTR records for all my domains after that. I tried the following: RESOLUTION To resolve this problem, perform the following steps: 1.. From DNS Manager, open your forward zone. 2.. Right-click on the "A" record for your DNS server, and then click Delete Record. 3.. Click Yes to confirm the deletion of the "A" record. 4.. Right-click on the forward zone, and then click New Host. 5.. Type the host name of your DNS server and the IP address. 6.. Select the Create Associated PTR Record check box. 7.. Click Add Host, and then click Done. If you receive an error when you click Add Host, then you may be having a problem with your reverse lookup zone. I received the error Want to unsub?
