This is my understanding as well.  Nimda appears to calculate the CPU time, and after a set time goes dormant for ten days.  It is scheduled to reactivate on the 28th of Sept., the 8th, 18th, and 28th of Oct.  I would assume it will follow this trend after the 28th of Oct.

I hope that it is not as rampant as it was on the 19th of Sept. as we watched our bandwidth go through the roof from the constant scanning.

Subject: More Nimba tonight?

I hope this turns out to be nothing, but thought I would pass along the word any way.

Researchers say Nimda set to propagate again 1am ET Friday
