My boss doesn't like Microsoft Update, and wants only Windows Update. We
have a couple servers where we (well, ... me ... :-)) selected the option
to upgrade Windows Update to Microsoft Update. And He'd like to uninstall
Microsoft Update, and go back to Windows Update.

(I explained that I did it because then we'd get to be able to get updates
for the other applications that Microsoft Update provides - SQL updates,
etc. And he doesn't want that; he wants to manually go and get those
updates and install them. I suggested just not choosing those updates, and
he said he'd rather not chance having someone forget and install a SQL
service pack, as an example, that might break something in production).

I haven't found anything that says you can do this. I imagine, if you
could, you'd have to uninstall the ActiveX control, and re-install the
older Windows Update control. But I haven't found out if it's even
possible.

Anybody know?

Thanks
