You also need to go to “Network > Interfaces > Edit” and enable the
appropriate management services on your untrusted interface.

Subject: Netscreen question

Hi,

Anyone happen to know this off hand?

I’m running a Netscreen 5GT. The firmware is version: 5.4.0 r2.0.

I’d like to temporarily enable remote access so a consultant I’m working
with can access the Netscreen and work out a problem with PPTP, MIP, VIP and
any other acronyms the damn thing has spawned in the time I wrote this
sentence. The only setting I can fund is under: Configuration --> Admin -->
Administrators: “External admin has read-write privilege.” I’ve enabled that
option, but he still cannot log in to the console.

Any ideas how to do this?

Thanks,

Evan
