yeah, my ppc 6700 is about three years old, not much support (sprint ain't
too got at support anyhow) and I figured if it went fubar, I could go back
to a phone that's a phone ! <g>   
And my point exactly about the newer versions of windows being slower on
EXISTING hardware ...  I think Vista runs much better on a Quad Core with
4gig RAM and 512mb video, compared to XP running on a 1.6ghz Pentium IV with
256mb RAM and 128mb video <SEG>

It also depends on the ROM version.  The newest version out there isn't as
slow...

BTW: It's a given that you will experience a slowness if it was hacked.  WM
is just given to the phone provider and then they make modifications based
on the hardware to optimize it.

I hacked my PPC6700 to run WM6, I like the interface better, but damn, like
most new versions of Windows, it runs slower than the previous version....
some VERY noticable interface delays.
