To answer your "Q" Dave, I could NOT access it with \\IP Address

Dang Windows Firewall got enabled on the server but it was weird that
one site could access the server but those crossing the routers
couldn't.

Somebody educate me as to why that would happen just because the
Firewall was enabled????

Thanks,
Tom

How about by \\<IP ADDRESS> ?

If that works, it's probably a NetBIOS issue.

Subject: No network provider accepted the given network path - ERROR

After the Tuesday updates were applied I am experiencing the following
issue on one server only...

Users on the local subnet at the site where this server is located can
access the file server with \\server or \\server\share
but users at a different site, same subnet but different IP range cannot
access it using the same method.
They get the error in the subject above.

Server is pinging, all services are started (Server service is good).
Server has been rebooted several times.
AV and other 3rd party programs are disabled.

I've ran:

sfc /scannow (which checks all of the Windows protected files and
repairs any corrupted ones)
Changed the Network LAN Manager Authentication from NTLM responses only
to LM and NTLM responses

Neither made any changes.

Any suggestions appreciated?

TIA,
Tom
