Get up to at least 7.2(x) code. That should help out.

From appearances everything looked fine, but mail flow stopped, and other traffic had issues as well. Fortunately, we had just created a backup of the config before flashing and were able to do a quick restore, but what an annoyance! From: Benjamin Zachary [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, January 09, 2008 12:10 PM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: Cisco ASA5520 I have a single IP, nat'ing two ports, and 2 dialup vpn users. I get it up and running, and after one day the box is completely hosed. After hours of reconfiguring and resetting I come to find that apparently the firmware is flawed and needs to be flashed. I guess overall not a big deal since Im not Cisco I wouldn't know but anyone else have the same problem? I get the device up and functional and the vpn isn't working if you go into look at the vpn wizard it just hangs on getting keys. If you click on IPSec keys in Config it just hangs. If I goto change any rule it tells me that the command is invalid and cannot be processed. I cant even click on/off the vpn or add/delete a nat rule. A complete reset gets it working for about an hour or so and then reverts to this bricked kind of state. Im running asa 7.0(7), asdm 5.0(7) Anyone else have a config like this? The device was brand new in the box so if its dead I don't want to fuss with it and just get a new one. Which I find strange because when I goto like cdw and stuff to look up what they paid for it, I cant seem to find it Thanks ~ Upgrade to Next Generation Antispam/Antivirus with Ninja! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbelt-software.com/SunbeltMessagingNinja.cfm> ~
