Are you saying the projector does't have VGA in? And what's a "standard
monitor output"? You say the laptop has that as well as VGA out, but in my
mind VGA out would be the "standard monitor output" for a laptop.

I installed two projectors using these wall plates (PC-G1020-*), which allow
for anything from a VCR to a laptop to work with it:

I used panduit.com for raceway and cablewholesale.com for cables. When you
install the projector, position it so you still have a little zoom left to
make it larger. This is so you can completely fill the white area and bleed
into the black boarder if you need to. Also make sure ou center the lense of
the projector to the screen and not the projector itself. You won't be able
to square the picture properly. A couple inches to the left or right makes a
niticable difference.

Subject: OT - Another Projector question - Training room.

Sorry to hijack the thread.

I am looking to set up a training room with a projector mounted to the
ceiling. The laptop for the instructor has standard monitor output jacks,
and also a super vga plug. The TV source has the component output jacks (2
RCA type)

1. Is there a cable converter to switch plug types between these?

2. If not, how long can a standard monitor and Super VGA cable be?
