I only have a single 2003 cluster left, and none at 2008 or above. In 2003, there is the option to force DNS regisration of the network name resource before it will come online. This should force a DNS lookup to return with the IP of the active node in a 2 node A/P cluster.. I wonder if there is something similar in 2008...
