For a change, this week's "Giant company eroding our privacy with
wifi data collection" comes not from Google, but Microsoft:

"Microsoft's Web map exposes phone, PC locations"

  Apparently it allowed near-real-time tracking of device locations on
a map, so you could follow someone's handheld as it wandered around
the city.

  Redmond quickly reduced the data exposure:
