The much maligned McAfee ePO can do all sorts of stuff along these lines as well. I had to look for 2003 servers and find which were 2003 R2 and non R2. It was quicker for me to dump a McAfee which has this report than figure out how to have SMS do it.
I hate the fact I can do so much with ePO because I'm supposed to hate it, not find cool ways to use it :) Dave From: Kevin Lundy [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, August 08, 2011 7:19 AM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: Re: IP Inventory tool Visio Enterprise can do quite a bit by itself On Mon, Aug 8, 2011 at 9:59 AM, Darin <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: Hi All, I use to use a software tool made by FLuke known as Fluke Network inspector. I was able to use this on my laptop independent of any Fluke tool and analyze my network and get a graphinc report back with device information of those devices connected to my network. I also was able to use it, I think in conjuction with MS VISIO and get a network diagram drawn out in minutes. Unfortunately I do not have this software any longer. I have began re-searching this from Internet searches. I was wondering if anyone knows of good network analyzing software such as this and where to get it other then the Fluke products? ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~ --- To manage subscriptions click here: http://lyris.sunbelt-software.com/read/my_forums/ or send an email to [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> with the body: unsubscribe ntsysadmin ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~ --- To manage subscriptions click here: http://lyris.sunbelt-software.com/read/my_forums/ or send an email to [email protected] with the body: unsubscribe ntsysadmin
