I just upgraded from Pro to Enterprise an hour ago. Our cellular rep gave us
the wrong software and when I entered CAL number 31 it wouldn't take it. I
uninstalled Pro, installed Enterprise and added an upgrade key they gave me and
I was up and running without losing my previous users.

Of course, they may not sell an upgrade.

He is. If you don't need the Enterprise functionality and know the server will
never grow beyond 30 users, get the Pro. Be aware however, there is *NO*
Upgrade path from Pro to Enterprise.

Thanks google fu

It looks like the blackberry pro, will do the same thing, full wireless sync,
but is about half the price. I thought the deal was 99/user but our vendor
wants 1100.00 for BES+5 which I think hes selling us the wrong software for our
needs.

Thx

The BB enterprise works in "small business" mode if you have less than 15
licenses. The download and the first license are free and then $99 each up to
the 15 mark. You could do the 4 of them for $300.

I have a client with the top 4 execs want their BB's to do full wireless sync
(Calendar/Contacts etc) the rep tried to sell them Enterprise for Small
Business (1100.00) but I see theres Blackberry Professional which is 499.00 for
the same 5 users. They don't really need any of the advanced functions, just as
long as all the items wireless sync (unlike the personal s/w where just email
works)

This shows the comparison but doesn't mention whether it does a full sync or
not.

Thanks to those in the know :)
