Last time I tried getting a Mac to work with SharePoint was first gen of
10.x and SP 3.0 SP ? and the Mac really did not play well from what the user
told me but then he was a Mac head and all things MS were children of the
devil to him.  He killed off the SharePoint project so I never got to
actually test it beyond the one time.  I think the major problem was
authentication issues, which were most likely user induced.
