Anyone run into this before? A few FTP virtual directories on one of our servers were migrated to a NAS device this past weekend. An alias was created for this, but it doesn't seem to work with FTP jobs, when the FTP job tries to change directory to this virtual directory, you get the following error:
550 Logon failure.. unknown username or bad password For some reason it seems that it can't use the alias. changing it to using the real name (NASDeviceName) resolved the issue. So for example the previous UNC path was: \\servername\sharename This still works from any windows machine in the network due to the alias, the only way to get the FTP virtual directory working was to do this: \\NASDeviceName\Sharename Thanks, Chris Bodnar, MCSE, MCITP Technical Support III Distributed Systems Service Delivery - Intel Services Guardian Life Insurance Company of America Email: [email protected] Phone: 610-807-6459 Fax: 610-807-6003 ----------------------------------------- This message, and any attachments to it, may contain information that is privileged, confidential, and exempt from disclosure under applicable law.
