For security, I normally drop all wireless connections on the DMZ and then allow the valid users to vpn in if they need access to the LAN. It keeps everything simple then trying to manage multiple wireless networks IMO.
Depending on your security requirements, wireless may only be allowed outside. CISP won't even allow it, but some variations will allow it as above only. I have used the Cisco wireless with in-line power and they were very flexible and functional for 'roaming' access, but in most cases I will purchase some lower end gear, put some antenna gain on it.
