I'm not using DPM, but my understanding is that it's entirely Microsoft-centric, which is a good thing if you're a Microsoft shop, obviously not so good if you do or plan on having other platforms to backup and support. I'm also pretty sure that it doesn't support dedupe and that support for aux copying data off to tape isn't as polished as things like Commvault. Whether those are are issues of course depends on your environment and requirements. That's Data Protection Manager.... Any experiences are welcome. Do you like it? Hate it? How big is your deployment? Any field servers involved? How does it compare to Netbackup and/or CommVault? (those are the other two I'm personally familiar with) Thanks, Joe ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~ --- To manage subscriptions click here: http://lyris.sunbelt-software.com/read/my_forums/ or send an email to [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> with the body: unsubscribe ntsysadmin -- MIRA Ltd Watling Street, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, CV10 0TU, England Registered in England and Wales No. 402570 VAT Registration GB 100 1464 84 The contents of this e-mail are confidential and are solely for the use of the intended recipient.
