Yep I have discovered exactly this. I need to regularly (nightly) ship a tab
delimited file with the first column being e-mail addresses and it is far
easier to do with ADFIND than CSVDE. Turns out tab delimited is an undocumented
(not in adfind advanced help /??) "\t" switch.

Incidentally, you'll get a lot more control of the output from adfind with the
-csv switch, depending on what you're trying to accomplish.

I usually just copy/paste from the distinguished name attribute in the
Attribute Editor tab of ADUC when I need to paste a DN into something like this
to avoid this sort of mistake.

Thanks,

I think the answer is within your question "test OU"
csvde -d "ou=Test, cn=main,dc=mydomain, dc=com" -f c:\userexport.csv
Cheers,

This works - exports from the default OU "Users:
csvde -d "cn=Users, cn=main,dc=mydomain, dc=com" -f c:\userexport.csv

This does not - the only change is going from the Users OU to Test OU
csvde -d "cn=Test, cn=main,dc=mydomain, dc=com" -f c:\userexport.csv

Is there some permissions I need to check on the test OU?
