Thought about that, turned out to be windows anti-malware. The user installed
it on their own via windows update for some reason manually. They already have
vipre running, but what was strange was that it doesn’t affect FF or chrome,
just IE .. even no add-ons … so I removed it and bounced it and things seem
fine…

Did you clean your cache?

I have one pc that has IE running really slow. I disabled all add-ons, I
defaulted the settings (took off auto discover) , I run it in disabled add-ons

bytes too).

The same box using FF is drastically better, so doesn’t seem to be a
resource/pc issue. What happens is you get like delayed lookups, it will say
website found waiting for reply, sit there for several seconds load half the
page and then say waiting for img.msn.com and then ads.msn.com etc .. so
msn.com from opening IE to it as default may take 10-20 seconds to load. On FF
Im already 4-5 pages in.

I guess I could upgrade him to IE9 (from 8) but thought I would run by if
anyone has any other ideas to try and figure this out. Usually resetting the
settings and disabling addons has worked 100% of the time previously for us.

Thx
