I can't tell you how to run such a large SQL installation, but I do know that it will require a lot more work than polling this list. Personally, I'd get vendor reps from Dell, HP and IBM, and perhaps from Silicon Mechanics or another independent vendor, give them your requirements and ask for demos of systems that will handle your load. Make them work for you.
