  amps * volts = watts

  watts / volts = amps

  So if this is a 120 volt circuit, divide the total wattage by 120 to get amps.

  (Nominally.  I've read that, inn practice, I guess there can be a
difference between "actual" and "apparent" load, which is why VA
(volt-amps) are given.  But that usually doesn't matter.)
