Check that the kind of SSD, there is MFC and SLC I think are the acronyms, one is single layer or multi layer. The single layer are much faster and more reliable. They don't really announce if they are single or multi, you have to do a little digging .
We just did a nice Nexenta SAN with 8x2TB drives, and 4 80GB SSD for logging and write caching, it made a huge difference when we realized we had MFC and changed them to SLC drives.
