I just ordered a Roku XD for my father, if it's as good as it seems to be
from the reviews I've read, I'm leaning towards adding that to my setup
instead of switching to the Sony Blu-Ray player. From what I've read the
interface for the streaming services on the Sony isn't great, and there
are some quirks in the DLNA for streaming media files.

on
his main and living room TV's he is using some new Sony little keypad,

I was using thi sgyration mediacenter remote:

But I recently ditched those for these:

4I4SSCQ

They are awesome. plugnplay. The battery is like a cell phone battery
and
you can charge the remote via USB. The keyboard is backlit. And my wife
has
no "i don't know how to work this" issues because it is just a keyboard
and
touchpad.
