I bought the kit. I've done two migrations so far but am also comfortable with sbs. The Microsoft step by step guide is pretty good. I think that if you have to migrate share point, then the sbsmigration kit is worth it. If they aren't using sharepoint, then I don't think it is worth the extra $. If the company is paying for it, then by all means buy it. Do it a few times in a lab and you'll be fine. You'll find the gotchas. Also use the sbs diva.com site, there is good info there too.
