Hi All,

Many of you read WServerNews, so I wanted to prevent any confusion.

Despite the fact I am going to stop writing WServerNews and start writing
WindowSecurity News, I will still moderate and participate in the NTSYSADMIN
list. Copied below is the Editor's Corner with the announcement.

Warm regards,

Stu

Heads-Up: This Is My Last Issue
All, after 15 years of writing WServerNews, I'm passing the torch. It's been a
fantastic ride, all of you have been great readers and I always got terrific
feedback, thank you so much. From January 2012, WSN will be written by Mitch
Tulloch, a very qualified Editor, and WSN stays in the same format.
However, I will keep you in the loop about secure computing from the admin's
perspective though! I will be the new Editor-in-Chief of WindowSecurity News,
which comes out monthly, also created by TechGenix, the same publisher as
WServerNews. We will send you a sample version of WindowSecurity News at the
end of January 2012. You can subscribe here:

(If you can't do without your weekly fix of faves, quotes and my observations
about cybercrime, subscribe to CyberheistNews, which I write weekly and gets
sent every Tuesday)

Last Chance: Your Free Full Copy of my book: CYBERHEIST
Why did I write it? To increase IT and executive level awareness that the bad
guys have moved from simple identity theft and stealing customer databases to
full fledged robbery of corporate bank accounts (non-profits are targets too),
using phishing and social engineering.
Most business owners, C-level executives, people in HR functions and still a
lot of people in IT simply are unaware that organized cybercrime has developed
into a very well funded, sophisticated and technically skilled operation.
Unfortunately, management still has a false sense of security. With the rapid
proliferation of social media and mobile computing, people are the new security
perimeter!
Subscribers of WServerNews are eligible for a free copy of the e-book in PDF
format. This is not just one chapter as a teaser. This is the whole darn book!
Yes, you have to register, and you will receive my CyberheistNews e-zine once a
week (and no spam!), but this is a complete no-brainer if you want more
security budget. GET IT NOW. This is your last chance to get the whole book for
free:
