I have done a bunch of reading at this point but all of it Microsoft documents. I am still doing research but I am hoping this will turn out to be a non-issue.
>From reading the Microsoft documents on Bitlocker I see notations of "issues" related to updating certain software breaking (trashing from the description I saw) the Bitlocker protected drive. Has anyone seen this in actual practice or is this more a CYA on Microsoft's part? If you have actually seen this what software package was it you saw and how much damage did it do to the protected drive? I am expecting drive firmware would do this and maybe hard drive driver updates to do this. Since Bitlocker has been out there for a couple of years now driver updates should not be doing this I would hope.
