If you're running Win7 and Win2k8, you're running IPv6 internally at least.

What's a bit horrifying is that most IPv4 firewalls are fairly
transparent to at least one of the Windows IPv6 transports - Teredo.
That's because it's UDP encapsulated, and most firewalls not only
don't understand Teredo, they aren't configured to default deny UDP
outbound..

Just as important is that running IPv6 unknowingly on your LAN leaves
some interesting security holes - in particular Router Advertisements,
which if abused can be used for MITM attacks.

Momentum is building for IPv6 externally, as well.

The US DoD is pushing it, and apparently (some/many/most/all?) mobile
phone networks in at least the US are already using it due to IPv4
address exhaustion and the inadequacy of NAT as a palliative.

Also, China and the rest of Asia will drive it strongly as well.

It'll take some time, but better to be prepared early than get bit by
it when the crunch comes for your organization.
